| The Right and Wrong Flag for England
There is some confusion between the English flag and the British flag and this page aims to solve that problem.
The English flag is called the Cross of St. George and the British flag is called the Union Flag.
The Cross of St. George or is a red cross on a white background whilst the Union flag is a combination of the Cross of St. George, St. Andrew and St. Patrick the flags of England, Scotland and Ireland at the time of the Union of those nations.

So if you are using a flag to represent England you would use the Cross of St. George, also known as the St. George's Cross, if you want to represnt the United Kingdom you would use the Union Flag.
If you see an example of England be wrongly indentified by the British flag instead of the Cross of St. George you can contact the Fair Flags Campaign.
